Acute glomerulonephritis is a group of acute diffuse inflammatory diseases of the kidney caused by various immune responses after infection. Clinically, edema, oliguria, hematuria and hypertension were the main manifestations of the general course of about 4 to 6 weeks. Summer and fall are good seasons for nephritis in children, and are more common in children aged 5-12. The treatment of pediatric nephritis is not complicated, but the nursing is very important and plays a decisive role in the prognosis.
Nephritis children are required to stay in bed for 1-2 weeks. Because bed rest can reduce body energy consumption, reduce heart burden, improve renal blood flow, is conducive to prevent heart dysfunction and hypertension, encephalopathy and other complications. Once the edema subsides, the blood pressure is smooth and the gross hematuria disappears, children can be allowed to get out of bed and walk indoors or outdoors.
The early stage of the disease is due to edema and accompanied by hypoxemia. Low salt and low protein diet should be given. Daily salt intake for 1-2 grams of protein intake is 0.5 grams per kilogram of body weight daily, but should be forbidden to eat chicken, duck's egg, so as not to aggravate the burden of kidney. Encourage children to eat more fruits, edema to disappear in children, blood pressure can be restored to the original diet.
